Production

2017 was a good year for growing wine grapes.  The harvest of the fruit destined for this wine began with the Petit Verdot on September 29^th.  Then the Merlot and the Cabernet Franc were picked from October 1^st through October 7^th.  The weather during final ripening and harvest time remained mostly warm and sunny, providing optimal ripeness and acid balance which brought about concentrated and complex fruit flavors. 

This wine was then hand harvested, triple sorted, destemmed, gravity fed into open-top stainless steel fermenters all here at Boxwood Estate.  The wine was later pumped into french-oak barrels and aged for 15 months.
