Boxwood 2020 - Cellar Club Exclusive

Tasting notes
Wine
Cabernet Sauvignon provides the backbone to this beautiful blend, while Merlot contributes to the smooth mouthfeel. Together they shine with a complex cocoa nose, black raspberry and cassis fruit flavors, with a hint of vanilla and light tobacco. The drying finish hints of the years to come as the wine develops and improves with age.
Production notes
Production
An abundance of sunshine and high temperatures with a small amount of rain in 2020 provided an excellent crop of clean, ripe fruit. The 2020 Boxwood blend provides a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Merlot was the first to pick between September 19th and 25th and the Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested on October 8th and 10th.

"Medium-bodied with fine and polished tannins and plenty of citrus rind. A year or two of bottle age would make it even better, but I like the energy in this."
